I wear a US 4 in old navy or 6 normally and this was perfect for me as a sports bra for running on the beach that converts to bikini when you are ready to jump in. It is snug, per some reviews, but that makes it a great training top for swimming and running. If you are looking for more of a beach / relaxing bikini I would go up a size. (I wear a jolyn 32 in swimsuits and the medium was perfect for me).

The fabric is substantial and the top is well-constructed. I usually wear a size small top (my bra size is 34AA for reference) but I can barely get this on and off because the band is so tiny. It's a good thing I'm very flexible or I might get stuck. I won't size up because it might be too loose in front. It's got just the right support for little me.
